    Cambridge Science Park

    Cambridge’s Science Park is home to more than 170 companies, from start-ups, through scale-ups, to offices of multinational companies.

    Examples of small to medium-sized companies and organisations with offices on the Science Park with single lawyers or small in-house legal teams include: Bayer CropScience; CN-Bio; Gearset; Pragmatic Semiconductor; Raspberry Pi Foundation; Royal Society of Chemistry; Xampla.

    There are also some larger organisations with offices on the science park, employing one or a small number of lawyers, for example Huawei and Roku.

    And some companies and organisations with offices on the science park have reasonably sizeable legal teams, including Amgen and Mundipharma (see below under ‘larger companies and organisations’).

    Founded in 1209, the University of Cambridge is one of the world’s oldest universities. Fast-forward to today and it is a global leader in teaching and research.

    The university has 31 colleges and over 150 departments, it operates eight cultural and scientific museums, and it has one of the world’s largest academic libraries.
